History of Fairlawn

Located at the corner of 22nd and T Place, S.E. with a steep topography that allows for magnificent views of the city, the Fairlawn site was once home to a German Orphanage also known as Ruppert Homes. In 1966, the orphanage was demolished and the property had remained since-forth undeveloped by subsequent owners. In 2000, ERCDC acquired the parcel and began predevelopment activity to develop the site for creation of 21 single-family homes slated for completion in 2004.
